Conversations with a three year old...

Mason and I had the funniest conversation yesterday!

Mason: Mommy...I have a new house.
Me: You do? What color is it?
Mason: yellow.
Me: Where is your new house?
Mason: By the wake. (Lake)
Me: How many rooms are in your house?
Mason: Um...Free (three)
Me: What kind of rooms do you have?
Mason: John Deere rooms. And, I cook in the kitchen.
Me: Oh...do you have fields at your house?
Mason: yep...I have fields.
Me: How many acres do you have?
Mason: Free (three)
Me: Oh! Three acres...wow! How are your crops this year?
Mason: Well, my fields are too wet. So, I can't work in the fields right now.
Me: oh. Well, who lives at your house?
Mason: Me, Millie...and you.
Me: Where does Daddy live?
Mason: at church camp.

I just started cracking up! He's so funny!

Then...a couple hours later he walks up and said:

Mason: "Mommy, do you think Miles likes tractors?"
Me: "I'm sure he does buddy. I bet he'd love John Deere, too."
Mason: Yeah, I bet he likes tractors and combines.
Me: Yep, I bet he does!
Mason: Maybe he can come here and play with me.
Me: Well...he can't buddy. He has to play his tractors in Heaven. One day we'll get to play tractors with him in Heaven, but it won't be for a long time.
Mason: I miss my brudder.
Me: Me too buddy.

Then, he happily runs off to his room to play tractors. He's such a sweet kid. (who is currently hugging my neck right now while his sister is dancing around the living room to some song on Disney. I'm such a lucky mom!)

Another sneak peek!

I met up with this family on Sunday afternoon...and it was crazy windy outside! There was a wind advisory & we were trying to find areas that wouldn't be quite so crazy windy. Luckily, I think we found a few places that worked out pretty well! This was such a sweet family...and I love how each family wore a different fall color. It photographed beautifully!

Here's a few pictures from their session:

I'll have the rest done soon!
Happy Halloween everyone! Mason (aka Buzz Lightyear) and Millie (aka JoJo the Clown) are really excited about going trick or treating! We're getting ready to head up to grandma's work...I hear "The Great Pumpkin" left them a treat there! The kids are so excited! I think a trip to the dentist may be needed after this halloween! :)

Megan & Whitney

Megan & Whitney met up with me downtown on Saturday night to get their senior pics done. It was starting to get pretty chilly & there was lots of wind, but they weren't phased one bit! I loved getting to hang out with both of them & I think we got some fun shots! Thanks so much for letting me do your senior pics!

First up is Megan:

Shane & Abby's Wedding

A week ago, I had the honor of photographing Shane & Abby's wedding. I knew that this was going to be a wonderful day after doing their engagement pictures. They were so completely in awe and wonder of each other on that day, that I knew their wedding day would be magical. Shane had the biggest grin on his face the entire day & he kept looking at Abby like his life was now absolutely perfect. I just loved sitting back and taking it all in...I love this couple! My friend, Jessica Hollis, tagged along with me this day to second shoot this wedding with me. I have learned a lot about photography from Jessica this year and felt so lucky to have her with me! My favorite part of the day was riding around the golf course in the golf carts...thanks for driving me around, Jessica! :)

Here's a little sneak peek from Shane & Abby's day:

Jessica also put some photos up on her blog that you can view by clicking here!

Thanks again for letting me spend your day with you!

The Stonecipher Family

I met up with this family this morning at Rock Springs Park. It was so cold! They were troopers and braved the chilly air and kept on smiling! We all breathed a huge sigh of relief when the sun popped out halfway through! Each family brought their dogs and it was pretty comical to try to get good pictures with all of the dogs! Thanks so much for letting me do your photos...here's a quick peek at some of the photos from this morning! :) Also...come back tomorrow for a peek at Abby & Shane's wedding pictures from last Saturday!

The Slusarski Family

I met this family on Tuesday night at the Forsyth Park. I loved how warm and caring this family is...you can just feel their love for each other and I am so grateful I got to spend a little while with them! And, Luke wants everyone to know that "Chicks dig him!" I must agree...he's adorable! Thanks again for the fun session...here's your sneak peek!

The Alger Family

Before we left for revival, I met up with the Alger family on Saturday morning. Erika and her family were in town and wanted to do some pictures with the Algers and we went to Whitmore Park. There were a gazillion biting gnats and mosquitoes and it was really warm for an October morning. Even though the conditions were tough, everyone just smiled and happily slapped bugs between photos! LOL! Mason and Millie tagged along on this photo shoot and had a lot of fun with Dean and Mike on the playground. Poor Dean had to push Millie on the swing for quite awhile...the girl loves to swing! Here's a sneak peek from the session...I'll have the rest of them to you in the next day or two!

A couple of new seniors...

I met up with Arika, Cody, and their moms on Monday night for their senior photos. We started out at Rock Springs Park and then headed downtown. Arika and Cody are such a cute couple and I really enjoyed getting to hang out with both of them and watching them interact. The weather was cloudy, but it ended up working out really well for the photos. Plus, Cody became quite good at aiming a reflector by the end of the night! Here's a sneak peek from the session:
